Bali Inspired Hotel in Pampanga

Right after I posted our photos on my facebook stories, ang daming nag tanong if saan daw ba ‘to?

Sharing you our Anniversary getaway in San Fernando, Pampanga

Tropical Stay PH by Souq is the name of the Hotel. They have 3 Villas where you can enjoy a private outdoor tub and a private outdoor shower with a beautiful garden. We stayed at the Villa 1, malapit lang kami sa Souq Restaurant and swimming pool. Better to explore the whole Souq coz every corner of the place is Instagram-worthy. DORMITELS PH IS YOUR PERFECT BUDGET HOSTEL BUDDY

Due to the advancement of transportation, more people are inclined to travel. I consider myself as a frequent traveler who is always thirsty for the next adventure. I use traveling for relaxation and an outlet for stress. There is always something new in traveling; new destinations, new cultures, new friends and new perspective of life. I am blessed to be living here in the Philippines which is rich in culture and history.

As a frequent traveler, accommodation is one of the things that I put a lot of effort and planning into. Having the right balance of affordability and comfort is what every smart traveler wishes for. I always search for accommodations online to make sure that the hotels are up to par. However, many sites are advertising false pictures and reviews with the help of photo editing tools. These sites could ruin the vacation of even the most seasoned traveler. I came across one and booked. Fast forward to my vacation, I was appalled by the state of the hotel. The room was dusty, unsanitized and the amenities were all in very bad shape.

I told my friend about my horrible stay. She suggested we go to a vacation trip to unwind and forget about the unfortunate event. We stayed at a certain Dormitel PH. I got to check their rooms and was impressed by how organized and tidy the place was. The interior was nice and cozy. Every other room has a design that exudes quality and class. What was even more impressive is the price which very cheap for the type of accommodation it was offering. This for me is the sweet balance of price and availability and would highly recommend it for everyone who wants a place for a perfect gate away!

Eco Hotel Philippines Introduces Camping & Grilling Activities in Tagaytay

While at the event they also introduced the new concept of safe and glamorous activity, Camping & Grilling proudly serving Filipino favorites on the roof deck.

Glamping, or glamorous camping, allows visitors to experience nature while being protected from the harsh elements. Think of it as camping-lite: a family or a barkada can rent one tent (good for up to 10 pax) and enjoy the clear night sky, cool breeze from the safety of the Containers roof deck.

And what’s the best way to bond while camping? Grilling and drinking around the fire, of course. That’s why they also prepared a Grill tent, with ten tables where guests can prepare and grill the food themselves. They may order from our restaurant or bring their own for a small corkage fee.

So for the adventurous guests or for those who just want to try something new, come up to their roof deck and experience nature in a whole new way. Camping & Grilling promises a good time for the whole gang.

The first green hotel chain in Tagaytay, they are also the first container hotel in the city.

Containers by Eco Hotel is located on SVD road, Nasugbu Highway, Tagaytay City, across Starbucks by the ridge. Camping & Grilling can be found on the 4th floor roof deck of our hotel. The first hotel chain in Tagaytay and also the first container hotel in the city.

The daily routine of having to wait under the scorching sun for the commute to work, the pain-staking traffic of EDSA, the never-ending overtime of your terror boss, the unforgiving deadlines would all accumulate and by the end of the week; would leave you drained of all life and energy. Deep inside you would wish that there was someplace tranquil and peaceful wherein you could revitalize and be ready for the stress the upcoming week has to offer.

QUENCH YOUR THIRST WITH SOLA ICED TEA

43760044_1959685337445700_2393142342673498112_n

I remembered the first time I saw it by drinks section inside a 7-11 store when I was still in college. It was placed among dozens and dozens of flavored iced tea drinks. The first thing I noticed was the packaging. It was uncommon for an iced tea drink to be bottled in glass which explains why it was a bit more expensive than other brands. Being a college student that relied on allowances, I opted to splurge on sugary carbonated drinks and iced tea. I drank a load during my finals week and thesis. I noticed a gradual change in my weight. I began to feel somewhat addicted to sweetened carbonated drinks, which led to gaining weight and having a problematic sleeping pattern.

A friend saw how often I drank carbonated drinks and suggested SOLA PEACH which was her favorite drink. The first time I drank it, I immediately fell in love. The taste was so satisfying. The authentic taste of tea that you don’t get from commercially manufactured drinks, the perfect level of sweetness that satisfies your cravings without making you feel the guilt. Additional bonus is that it gives off a lower calorific content than most sugary drinks due to the fact that it is made from the most natural ingredients as possible.

SOLA made me realize the real definition of guilt-free drinking. I also found that the SOLA company does not employ artists and to commercials to advertise their products. It is because they trust their products so much that they let the products do the talking; and INDEED THEY HAVE. SOLA products come in Lemon, Peach, Raspberry and Strawberry flavors. Try them all now, especially my fave Raspberry iced tea!

Sola Iced Tea is available at all branches of 7 eleven nationwide, Lawsons, All Day, Landmark, Cash & Carry, Hi-Top, Makati Supermarket, San Mig Avenue, Unimart and Robinsons Supermarket in Metro Manila.

PRRC, NCCA and PETA launched “Taga-Alog 2018: Unang Alon” to develop Pasig River

38134313_10211756515730308_1372519656283176960_n.jpg

The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Philippine Educational Theatre Association (PETA), national government agencies, local government units (LGUs) and private organizations join forces for the development of the Pasig River through a creative campaign entitled “Taga-Alog, River Pasig: Balik Tanaw, Balik Sigla!” launched today, June 28, 2018.

The PRRC, NCCA, and PETA together with Department of Tourism (DOT), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), local governments of Pasig, Makati, Manila, Mandaluyong, San Juan and Marikina and the British Council convened to promote the development of Pasig River as a source of Filipino identity.

The Taga-Alog is a project paying homage to the Pasig River as medium and space for collective memory and cultural identity and to show concern for the community through the artistic creations and research initiatives that can be used by the community as a basis for crafting development initiatives

According to PRRC Executive Director Jose Antonio E. Goitia “we welcome the various art forms that will be used to promote the value and significance of the Pasig River as a source of Filipino cultural identity and PRRC will do its best to support and help in the realization of these advocacy projects.”

To strengthen the cooperation between agencies, a memorandum of understanding has been signed by the officials of the aforementioned agencies for the implementation of the campaign.

Under the agreement, the group will conduct series of researches for the formulation of creative strategies and site development of Pasig River and the communities alongside it. The campaign will be experienced through visual arts, films/ photography, literature, music, dance, theatre which will be shared in multimedia platforms.

Goitia emphasized the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors for the success of the project. “This project will foster the enrichment of a Filipino national culture. In this way, more people would eventually give importance and appreciation for the Pasig River,” Goitia concluded.

PRRC, LIAC relocates Talayan Fire Victims

IMG_3824
The Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) and the Local Inter-Agency Committee (LIAC) of Quezon City relocated 111 illegal occupants at San Francisco River, Barangay Talayan on July 25, 2018.
The said families were victims of a major fire that occurred last August 11, 2017, and were immediately offered relocation assistance but they did not cooperate.
Various relocation sites have been offered since 2013 which include San Jose Del Monte, Norzagaray, Pandi and Balagtas in Bulacan and Morong in Rizal for off-road relocation as well as in Tala and Camarin Residences in Caloocan City for near city relocation and Holy Spirit Relocation Site in Quezon City for in-city relocation.
After several times Pre-Demolition Conferences, the PRRC and LIAC eventually won the cooperation of some ISFs but the majority still refused to voluntarily demolish their houses and to be relocated.
The ISFs refusing relocation were claiming that the land was awarded to them.
According to PRRC Executive Director Jose Antonio E. Goitia, from the 160 ISFs in Barangay Talayan, a total of 49 families relocated by the PRRC in collaboration with the NHA (National Housing Authority) and the LIAC in Morong, Rizal.
Of the 49 families, 39 ISFs were relocated in September 2017, eight ISFs on July 27, 2017 and two ISFs on May 29, 2018.

The presence of the remaining ISFs had delayed the San Francisco River development projects of the PRRC such as the widening of the river, bank improvement, dredging and linear park development.
The scope of the project would directly benefit Barangays Damayan, Mariblo and Talayan in Quezon City.
During the meeting, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) released the subdivision plan / cadastral map based on the 26.4 + 3 meter legal easement of the San Francisco River project supplemental to the Supreme Court mandamus on waterways.
The local government of Quezon City likewise dismantled the informal settlements to ensure that the relocatees would not come back.
“I am sad that we have reached this point. It is important that we expedite and complete the rehabilitation and development of the San Francisco River because it is a major tributary of the San Juan River, which drains to the Pasig River,” Executive Director Goitia explained.

SKIN TEMPTATIONS SKINCARE

IMG_3789

There are various skin care products flooding the consumer market, each having their own brand and specialty. In order for a product to stand out, it has to be highly safe and effective. With that being said, it is my pride to introduce “SKIN TEMPTATIONS”. The thing that I love the most about this brand is that the ingredients used in manufacturing process is all-natural. I will not have to worry about exposing my skin to unknown chemicals which may be harmful in the long run. Also, the products induce noticeable improvements after only three times of use.

IMG_3786
BITE CHERRY LIP EXFOLIANT
Ingredients:  Sugar and Essential oils

Knowing the tropical climate of the Philippines, it is often very humid. This is the main reason why lips become dry and chapped.  I tried using BITE CHERRY thrice a week. I love the result of this lip scrub! After applying the scrub, it feels like a thin gel-film with sugar covered my lips. I waited for 10 minutes and I scraped away the coating. The result, smooth kissable and hydrated lips. Yes! Exfoliating + lively red color residue. It has an instant color, its like I putted lip tint on my lips. Awesome indeed!

How to use: Scoop a small amount of Bite Cherry using your clean finger. Massage all over your lips to gently scrub away the dead skin cells. Leave it for 5-10 minutes, allow your lips to absorb the essential oils. Wash away the excess sugar using water or use tissue to wipe away.

IMG_3785MURLBERRY PEEL BAR SOAP

Ingredients: Mulberry extract, Tomato extract, Arbutin + Aqua.
I love the scent of this soap, it’s so mild and how the grinded seed felt when it comes in contact with my skin. It felt like using a scrub-soap. It is very therapeutic! I’ve been using this soap for a week, expecting my dead skin to peel off but I didn’t. Maybe I still need more time to see the result. What I like about this soap is that its all natural and organic. I will not have to worry about the terrible after effects that may come from using a concentrated soap.

How to use: After rinsing my body with water, I scrub the soap onto my skin and lather it, stay for 2-3 minutes, then rinse.

IMG_3784IMG_3787
WONDER AZTEC CLAY

Ingredients: Made of Bentonite Clay

This WONDER-ful Aztec of skin temptations is one of my favorites. Why spend so much on the other brands if I can get my own Aztec clay for a very affordable price! I mixed it with water and/or apple cider vinegar. (Depends on your preference) This product is in the form of powder. You can lessen the water mixture to adjust the concentration to your liking. The resulting solution helped soften and exfoliate my skin. This Aztec clay also helped me to get rid of my pimple marks and minimized pores. I was lucky enough not to have any major skin breakouts but my biggest concern are the pores near my nose. I have open pores and that’s the reason why I always have whiteheads. Every time I go to the skincare section I always look for treatment or cream that can minimize or reduce my pores, but sometimes its hard to look for the better one.  I’m so happy that Aztec clay was invented! Because this is the only solution to my pores!

How to use:
1. One (1) teaspoon of Aztec clay mask and one (1) teaspoon of Apple cider or water on a non-metal bowl and utensil, mix it until it becomes a homogenous mixture.
2. Apply the mixture evenly to your face and leave it for 20-30 minutes
3. Let it until dry.
4. Wash your face with warm water

IMG_3783IMG_3782
After using the Aztec clay, I use the OH MY MOUSSE!

Ingredients: Witchazel extract, Tomato extract, Bearberry extract, Japanese powder, Snail Enzyme, Collagen and Grapeseed oil.
This mousse is so magical! I put this cream before going to bed and wake up in the morning with a glowy skin. I didn’t experience any breakouts after using it. While applying; I can feel the thick matte feeling of this cream. Its thick but lightweight to the skin. This cream is perfect for those who have oily skin because this lessens the accumulated oil that can reduce pimple formation. It can get rid pimples too! It’s like having ALL-IN-ONE cream! This mousse helped me clear my skin and at the same time give me the glow that I desperately wanted! I highly recommend this product.
How to use: After washing the face, spread this cream evenly in the facial area.

OVERALL RESULT AND REVIEW

After having back to back vacation from Thailand and Cebu. My skin became dry and tanned. Skin Temptations sent me these wonderful products that helped me bring back the natural glow from my skin. Its actually my first time to try Lip exfoliator and I’m very happy with the result. My skin felt renewed after trying this product. It hydrated my skin. On the other hand, I’m still waiting for the result of the soap since I haven’t seen any major changes on my skin. The Aztec clay works good on me, it minimized my pores and soften my skin. I felt so refreshed after using it! I make sure to bring this mask when I travel to dry and humid vacations. Oh my Mousse is perfect for those who want to achieve that healthy-glowing skin. It dries up pimple spots fast and prevents further outbreaks. The Oh my Mousse and the Wonder Aztec clay are my two favorites among the lot! The cost of these products are very affordable and are made with high quality natural ingredient!

GOWNS & SUITS FOR RENT

81413129101117187

Weddings, Halloween Parties, Debuts, Masquerade parties, Proms..etc are some of the most memorable events in one’s life. Often times, people would dress in their Sunday best in attending these events. Snaps of these cherished moments will hang by walls for centuries to come; and so most people would take extra effort to groom themselves to make sure they look their best. The only downside is that people would splurge so much for designer dress and suits that would only be used once or twice at max.

Good thing, there is @gownforent and @suitforrent. These two offer clothing rental services that help fashionistas save money while giving them the freedom to choose from a large collection streching from ball gowns, prom dresses, hip suits, classic barongs and many more. They offer rental services for a very reasonable price. The shops make sure that the clothes undergo the highest cleaning services that would put any germophobe’s doubt to rest. Another great thing about @gownforent and @suitforrent is that they employ an online website. This can save everyone the hassle of going to the store, one can simply choose their desired attire at the comfort of their homes.
