Welcome to my first ever blog. Here’s my Bangkok travel guide with budget and itinerary to help you plan your next trip. Bangkok is easy to explore, it is rich in culture and Insta-worthy ( Yea, its for the gram right?)
Bangkok is one of the best and affordable country to explore. This is my first time to travel abroad without my parents, I traveled with my best friend last March 17, 2018 hashtag #BFFGOALS
DAY 1 – MARCH 17, 2018
GRAND PALACE ( TEMPLE RUN GAMING)
Suvarnabhumi Airport ( bought sim card for 299thb good for 8 days, Unlimited internet access)
We took Taxi going to our Hostel- Nacorn Hostel
Medyo mahirap silang kausap because most of them doesn’t know how to speak in English.
CHECK IN AT NACORN HOSTEL, KHAO SAN ROAD. booked via Agoda with one big room and king Bed inside that is good for sharing ₱ 6200 (4 days and 3 nights)
The place is a walking distance near to all Tourists spot in the city of Bangkok.
After checking in and putting our luggages inside the room, we immediately left for our first attraction to visit.
GRAND PALACE
Grand Palace Ticket 500thb (₱875)
Important Note about the Grand Palace:
A strict dress code applies. The Grand Palace (The Temple of the Emerald Buddha) is Thailand’s most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops.) If you’re wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must observe a modest attire. (No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc.) If you show up at the front gate improperly dressed, there is a booth near the entrance that can provide clothes to cover you up properly (a deposit is required).
Bangkok Highlighted Place
PS: My outfit did not pass their standard and so I was force to put a pin on my pants just so I could enter. Once inside the Palace I found it rather uncomfortable and so I removed it. As I noticed many of the tourists were forced to wear pins over skirts as I was.
Umuwi din kami agad kasi sobrang init! As in sizzling summer feels. Tapos ang dami pa naming kasabay na tourists and 98% of them are Chinese. Para-paraan nalang kung paano aawra.
NIGHT ACTIVITY:
CRUISE EXPERIENCE IN BANGKOK
EAT AND SAIL WHILE IN A LUXURY CRUISE SHIP AT BANGKOK RIVERSIDE
Dinner at Chao Phraya Princess Cruise booked via Klook worth ₱1,605 per head.
The dinner cruise serves a grandiose buffet with your favorite Thai dishes together with a selection of international treats. We sailed along under the stars, while having the company of a great live band. Their choice of songs were that of 80’s and 90’s hits that would surely bring back the disco fever, the Chao Phraya Princess Cruise promises no less than an entertaining and memorable night for sure.

This experience is a must! Such a relaxing cruise! The singer sang very well and after a while they opened it for the other guests to sing. The food is good and there’s a lot of time to go to the cruise deck to take pictures.

DAY 2 – MARCH 18, 2018
AYUTTHAYA
AYUTTHAYA TRIP BOOKED VIA KLOOK WORTH ₱2,102 PER HEAD
– Worth the price!
Meet up at Century Mall (BTS Victory Monument Station)
- Bang Pa-In Summer Palace
- Ayutthaya floating market
- Wat Mahathat
- wat Phra Si Sanphet
- Wat Lokayasutharam
- Sunset boat ride
- Night Market for food and snacks
When we came back to our Hostel, we immediately took a bath and headed to Chatuchak weekend market for our night activity but sad to say when we arrived to the market, it was closed.
I’m glad that someone told us to try the other Market named “Chechekin” (I don’t know the correct spelling.) Basta sounds like siya. No entrance fee naman. I suggest if you’re planning to shop at Chechekin go buy it now before you get lost because that’s one of my biggest mistake.. I told myself na “baka may mas maganda pa, or baka may mas mura pa!” So we end up buying nothing.
DAY 3 – MARCH 19, 2018
PATTAYA BEACH
BOOKED VIA KLOOK WORTH ₱1,903 PER HEAD
Sabi nga nila expect the unexpected. We didn’t meet the number of persons per group kaya na cancelled kami. Lagi naman sila nag a-update ahead of time so no need to worry. Basta dapat laging may Plan B.
PLAN B (Do-it-yourself)
We searched the place if where can we ride a bus or van going to Pattaya beach.
–> Van fare 130thb ₱227.50
2 hours travel time. Then they dropped us somewhere in Pattaya. I suggest mag taxi na kayo going to the port and be alert for those taxi drivers who’s giving their fixed rate, always ask for meter. Public boat 30thb lang. Do not entertain those people who offer private boat or what! Mapapamahal lang kayo.
NIGHT ACTIVITY:
Khao San Road
Khao San Road, a lively, effervescent and kaleidoscopic street in Bangkok, tasty pad-Thai and enthusiastic travellers from all over the globe. A short walk through the heart of the city exposes visitors to all the street has to offer, and guides them through an area where the beer is flowing, the lights are bright and the energy is infectious. This is the happiest place in the city. Tara na!
DAY 4 – MARCH 20, 2018
PROTANUM – SUVARNABHUMI VILLE HOTEL
We consider this as our free day.
Shopping lang and transfer to another Hotel. (Yes! This time it’s a real Hotel na. Yung masasabi mong comfortable talaga!) LOL
Protanum for souvenir shopping, maraming malls dun yung hilera ng Starbucks kayo na bahala mag tingin tingin. Puro wholesale doon pero pag one item lang no discount.
By the noon time:
Check in at Suvarnabhumi Ville, had a photoshoot at the room (as usual. LOL) then we spend the rest of our time at the swimming pool area. By 6pm we decided to have our dinner at their 6th floor Sky bar. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the Skybar. The skies are perfectly beautiful. It’s great to watch the landing of planes, eat well and enjoy the cool wind blowing in the hot Bangkok night. Good food, good service and reasonably priced. They are open until late night.
